Yom Kippur is a day of atonement; a day of prayer, fasting, and repentance. Yom Kippur begins at sunset on October 11th through nightfall October 12th. This is also a time to sow into the new. You can sow into TWI or a ministry of your choice. Yom Kippur is the holiest and most solemn day of the year. It is a time for confession, introspection, repentance, forgive, “afflict our souls” by fasting (from food and drink), and decide to change the direction of our lives. Ask God how you should fast, especially if you are taking medicine or have a medical condition. Yom Kippur is often sensed spiritually long before it arrives through Rosh Hashanah (“head of the year”).
Make time today to repent, reflect, forgive, fast, and change the direction of your life, and may God bless and keep you in the days ahead. Prayer of Repentance Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your immeasurable love. Thank You for Your grace and mercy. You gave Your only forgotten Son, that whosoever believe in You will have eternal life. I believe in You. I have sinned. I am a sinner saved by Your grace. Forgive me for anything I may have done knowingly or unknowingly. I am sorry. I repent for what I have done. Today, I ask for Your forgiveness, and just as You forgive me, I forgive others. Help me to walk according to Your word. Give me eyes to see and ears to hear as You hear. Help me to stay close to You. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. Get your copy of My Listening Prayer Journal, a guided prayer journal to help sharpen your ability to hear God's voice.
