What is Prophecy?
Prophecy is an expression of Elohim's will, destiny, and/or purpose released through our spirit to those around us. This expression can come in the form of encouragement, direction, warning, comfort, and/or exhortation. Elohim (God) is a Spirit and He speaks to us through our spirit and in truth. (John 4:24) The prophetic expression discerns the voice of Elohim, and acknowledges Him as the one who sends the message. Recognition of Elohim's voice comes through seeking Him. Those who seek Him will find Him. (Matthew 7:7; Jeremiah 29:13) And while prophecy can come in various ways, regardless of how it is received, Elohim wants us to know His perfect will, destiny, and purpose for our lives.
