Quench your Thirst
Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost (Isaiah 55:1)
Many of us spend our lives looking for something to hold on to, something that will last. We look for ways to avoid aging, to stay healthy, to become famous or rich. But, we eventually realize that our mortal life is temporary. Friends and family members grow old and pass away, even the famous are soon forgotten, and wealth is lost as quickly as it is won. Only those who find their way to the waters and are thirsty can come to buy without money or cost.
Our hope and happiness is found in discovering and knowing who we are, where we came from, and where we can go. We are eternal beings, spirit children of an eternal, living God. Our lives can be compared to a three-act play: the pre-mortal life (before we came to earth), the mortal life (our time here on earth), and the post-mortal life (the place we go after we die). God, the Great Architect, the Creator of the University had a plan for our lives since the beginning of the first act—a plan that, if followed, provides comfort and guidance right now, as well as salvation and eternal happiness in our post-mortal life. Come, all you are thirsty, come to the waters and drink!
Understanding the following can help us live a happier life now and in eternity.
God Is Our Father
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob leads us through this journey called life. We are created in His image (Genesis 1:27). We have a divine nature and destiny. God is our Father.

Earth Life Is Part of God's Plan
Our life on earth has purpose. Coming to earth is part of God's plan for us (Jeremiah 29:11). We were given a physical body and granted the freewill to choose between good and evil, to have life and life more abundantly (John 10:10).
