![]() Let's face it when it comes to building opposition will come. The key is to be prepared when it comes. In the first part 3 Keys to Kingdom Building the life of Nehemiah reveals how to build. After hearing about the broken walls in Jerusalem he became heavy hearted. Your assignment is connected to what you are called to heal, but how can you build in the midst of opposition? As a builder Nehemiah faced fear, intimidation, gossip, death threats, and false prophecy. The key to his success came with knowing his assignment and having a plan to reach it. When moving in your Kingdom-driven purpose know that obstacles from the enemy will come. Expect it, prepare for it, but keep building! Opposition will determine the strength of your mission, purpose, or assignment. As soon as Nehemiah began building Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem came against him with scoffing and misleading questions against his assignment.
Nehemiah had a two-fold plan to thwart opposition: first, he leaned on God in prayer, and second, he built with a weapon in one hand and a building tool in the other. As believers our weapons are not carnal but mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4)! Locate your weapons and use them while you build. We are in a building season, this is why it is so important for you to know your assignment and keep building. If they scorn you... keep building! If they mock you... keep building! If they ridicule you... keep building! If they lie about you... keep building! If they prophesy falsely... keep building! If they try to take you off your assignment... keep building! If they gossip about you... keep building! If they try to intimidate you... keep building! If they get jealous and hate you... keep building! Remember... NO weapon formed against you will prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you will condemn! This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, said the LORD (Isaiah 54:17). Prosper Creatively,
