Prophetic people tend to be misunderstood, rejected, and often face numerous challenges when it comes to relationships. Why? I'm glad you asked. Let's face it. The nature of the prophetic promotes what many call strange, odd, or just plain weird. Prophetic people are not basket cases, they just operate on a different frequency and this frequency is what leads them to be Kingdom-driven. The frequency of a prophetic person is tuned to the voice of Holy Spirit and merely obeying what it says will seem odd to one but bring deliverance or healing to another Let me give you an example. Side Note: Holy Spirit will NEVER instruct you to do something harmful, wicked, or evil. In the next blog I'll share some ways to discern the voice of Holy Spirit.
I was in church one Sunday, worshipping. I often sat at the back of the church. The back seats were assigned to individuals in the church's Ministry of Intercession. These seats allowed us to see everyone and to pray as lead. However, when the pastor began to pray or minister we would reposition ourselves along the walls of the church and intercede until he finished. Talk about some MAJOR breakthroughs. Now back to the story. While in praise and worship Holy Spirit said, "Shout!" I shouted, "Gloooorrrry!" My obedience to Holy Spirit's voice stirred the congregation bringing deliverance and breakthrough; some shouted, others raised their hands, some stood, others began to pace the floor, some turned and looked, some cried, and the glory cloud entered. Now mind you, I'm a relatively reserved person, until Holy Spirit comes! One day, I stopped shouting. I'm not sure why, I just did. After a few Sundays of not hearing me shout one of the church leaders came and asked why I was so quiet. Hmmm... I didn't realized my voice made a difference, so began shouting again as lead by Holy Spirit. I learned that while my actions were different, odd, and even weird to some, it was effective when directed by Holy Spirit. Lives were transformed in the midst of a shout! Relationships are important. You are important! Below are some relationship tips for prophetic people.
Creatively Yours,
Rebecca

Deborah, well said! And, often I find it difficult to connect with many because it grieves me at the lack of Word that people speak and how uber friendly the "church" has become with the world. Just observing the music, movies and places that people give their time to --- I don't condemn people for watching their favorite Disney movies, yet I would not watch them because of the witchcraft involved ---- so as a result, lots of people around me think I'm odd for believing that since they "know the difference between fairytale and reality". Wow. So, I pray for eyes to be opened and for hearts to embrace The Word.

This is so on point for me: I was attending a meetin a fellow co-laborer was preaching and because of the prophetic worship God has placed on my life -ppl like to see me up front. BUT this "thought " came to me that IF I sat in back - I could better see the ppl and perceive how/what to pray.

I appreciate your saying that prophets must come to accept who God has made them to be. My acquaintance is interested in religious studies. I'll advise her to consult an American prophecy expert to assist her in developing her religious knowledge.
