Three Keys to Hearing God

God is not a respecter of persons.  He talks all the time, in various ways, circumstances, and situations.  The key is to listen to hear.  He wants to talk to His children.  He wants to be a part of your everyday lives.  He wants to lead you.  He wants to guide you, but you must be willing to discern His voice.  I want to share three keys to hearing God and as you listen and wait He will speak.  Are you willing to listen?  If you said, "yes" let's examine the three keys to hearing God.

Key 1: Be Still.  As you rest in Him and make God your number one priority He will speak to you in the stillness of your spirit.  "Be Still and Know that He is God."  In stillness God speaks His heart to His servants.

Key 2: Be Committed.  Hearing God means being committed and consistent to spending time with Him.  Whether you take five, ten, fifteen, or thirty minutes of time do so every day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.  

Key 3: Be Prepared.  Gather the materials you need, e.g., pen, paper, bible, dictionary, etc.  As you position yourself be prepared and ready to receive.  Honor your relationship with God through preparation.
