Using Prophetic Writing to Educate God's People

Perhaps you are asking, what is prophetic writing? And how is prophetic writing different from other types of writing?  First, the word prophet or prophetic should not cause "fear" or "spookiness"  Prophets are not psychics, but true prophets are educators at heart. True prophets are messengers. Prophetic writers; however, are burdened by a call to write from the heart of God.

If you are called to write what you hear God speaking, this message is for you.  God is equipping His people with writers who have a burning desire to release His word in written form.  I recall when God ignited this call in my life.  I would hear a word or phrase in my spirit.  The words would repeat itself repeatedly until I finally took time to write what I heard.  As I wrote, the Spirit of the LORD began to speak.  He spoke His heart as I wrote.  Many times the words were in the form of poetry and other times encouragement.  Over time, my obedience to write granted a new level.  I released both warnings and requests to pray for the nations.  My written words from Father became a platform to educate His people, or those with "ears to hear and a heart cleansed with repentance."  Are you called to educate God's people with prophetic words?  Perhaps your prophetic writing is in the form of poetry, song, screenwriting, copywriting, technical writing, encouragement, warning, etc.   Whatever your genre of prophetic writing, let God use you as His vessel of ink to bring hope, healing, peace, encouragement, and warning to His people and to those with "ears to hear."
